Several answers have been offered to this already, but I do think it ought
to be realized that there will be very little consensus on this issue
simply because the criteria used to judge "closeness" to the GNT spread
across something of a spectrum. The question is really far more appropriate
to the B-Translation list where BOTH the question of appropriate criteria
AND the question of which currently available version best meets any
particular set of criteria constitute the bulk of a voluminous
list-correspondence.
