[B-Greek] Grammar Books and Bindings

Dear List,

My copy of Wallace's "Greek Grammar Beyond the Basics" just arrived
today. I can't wait to progress far enough in my studies for the book
to become useful to me. One lament I have, though, is that this huge
tome doesn't seem to have a sewn binding. One would think that such
big hard-bound books ought to have their spines sewn instead of glued.
In fact, none of the Zondervan Greek books I have have sewn bindings!
Come to think of it, not even the expensive leather-bound NIV Study
Bible has a sewn binding. Or maybe they are sewn and I just can't make
out the threads? This seems unlikely. The old copy of Machen's
grammar I bought second-hand has a very sturdy, sewn binding, though,
and is obviously made to withstand the rough handling it's getting.

Puzzled,
