The first translation is litteral (the Greek text has hAGIAIS).
The second is an interpretating rendering. "Saints" are in our vocabulary
christians, humans, whereas the Greek expression could be used for angels as
well. Unless you can prove that angels cannot be called hAGIOI.

Should the expression EN hAGIAI MURIASIN AUTOU be translated as "with His
holy myriads", or "with myriads of His saints", or both are possible?
