Coleman:

I would recommend that you get and work through the
Zondervan "A Summer Greek Reader" by Richaed Goodrich
and David Diewert before you get Mounce's "Graded
Reader" because there is a gap in the vocabulary that
you need to know to work the "Graded Reader." Mounce's
BBG teaches the vocabulary that occur 50 or more times
in the Greek New Testament. The "Graded Reader gives
you the words that occur 20 or fewer times in the
Greek New Testament. The Summer Greek Reader helps you
learn the words that occur 21-49 times in the Greek
New Testament.

I would get the unabridged Wallace GGBTB because in
the long run, you will want the exegetical discussions
that he provides. Just learn you don't have to master
everything. The abridgement was made because it's
quite a tome to get through in one semester. Since you
are learning on your own, that should not prove to be
a problem.

After you've worked your way through Wallace and
Mounce's Graded Reader, Guthrie and Duvall would be a
good thing to work through. They teach you phrasing
which is relaly helpful and then they work your
through the exegetical process

If you've not done so already you need to pick up a
copy of

Gingrich, F. Wilbur. Shorter Lexicon of the Greek New
Testament. 2nd ed. Chicago: University of
Chicago Press, 1983 or

Trenchard , Warren C. A Concise Dictionary of New
Testament Greek. Cambridge University
Press, 2003. ISBN: 052181815X

At some later time you will want to also get:

Danker, Frederick W., ed. A Greek-English Lexicon of
the New Testament and Other Early
Christian Literature. 3rd ed. Chicago: University of
Chicago Press, 2000. ISBN: 0226039331

Metzger, Bruce M. A Textual Commentary on the Greek
New Testament. 2nd ed. New York:
American Bible Society, 1993. ISBN: 3438060108

Demoss, Matthew S. Pocket Dictionary for the Study of
New Testament Greek. Downers Grove,
Illinois: InterVarsity Press, 2001. ISBN: 0830814647

Silzer, Peter James, and Thomas John Finley. How
Biblical Languages Work: A Student's Guide to
