[B-Greek] Acts 1:1-2

Hi All, 
 
I'd like to know how do you precisely tranlsate Luke 1:1-2.  
I mean, it seams strange  to me for one to say, for example: 
"I wrote about all things Jesus BEGAN to both do and teach UNTIL the
day He was accepted above" 
 
How could one _begin_ something _until_ some future time?  
 
Is it possible that "began" is not realted with "until"?  
 
Does Luke perhaps mean: 
"I wrote about all things that Jesus began to both do and teach, [me,
Luke, covering the period from that verry time] UNTIL the day He was
taken above"  ?
