Helo,
My name is Mike and I recently joined the list, but haven't had the time to find out what I must do before I post. BGut I have a question nonetheless about Heb. 4:1-13.

Is the phenominon in verses 1 through 13 of Hebrews Chapter 4, a misapplication of synrax? That is, the use of the English word rest which we normally think of as cessation (a verb), is actually used 4 times in these 13 verses as a noun. The same noun that appears in Acts 7:49, but as a place where this rest takes place. Does this not mean that 4 times in Heb. 4:1-13 that the word rest should be actually translated and have the same syntax and significance as a place of rest that Acts 7:48 has?
