The Palatino font has been standard install on Macs, I believe long
before Windows, but the current manifestation does not contain any of
the unicode Greek character set.
When unicode characters are displaying correctly, it is because the way
it works is if that range is not present in the current font, it goes
to the default font that does contain those characters.
