However, TELEIOS does not simply imply mature, but fully mature, not able to
grow any more, and
hence complete. This is what the English word "perfect" means: nothing need
be added. You will notice that the lexicons so define the word...
While the above definition does fit most passages, would you than infer then
that the one who controls his tongue (James 3:2) can grow no more in
TELEIOS?
James 3:2 For we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in
what he says, he is a TELEIOS man, able to bridle the whole body as well.
This verse appears to leave the door open for further improvement, i.e. we
all stumble in many ways. And does DUNATOS infer more than power to control
the whole body and demand actual control of the body at all times in order
to be TELEIOS?
(I learned the definition of TELEIOS to be "to reach a designated
objective".)
