I have just come across Learn New Testament Greek, expanded edution, by David Alan Black. I really enjoy its grammtical explantions. Linguistically, they are very up to date. One of my pet peeves is grammars that do not take into account the advances that have been made in modern linguistics. In chapter 26 he gives six areas of application for what you have learned. These include customary word/phrase order, customary clause order. He also includes material on discourse analysis for understanding syntical structures. He seems to be the clearest that I have seen on the gramatical explations of the greek verbs. the book is not large about 10 x 7 236 pages,
