This has been said many times on b-Greek:

Start with a year (or, preferably, more than a year) of classical Greek, and then study NT Greek.

This sounds like a fine method, but what about students like me who have had a year or two of Koine? What are we supposed to do? How should I broaden my understanding of Greek? Should I start out again and take a year of classical Greek?! I see that I need some understanding of classical Greek as I work (slowly) through I Peter 1. Any help appreciated.
