[B-Greek] What about Thayer's Lexicon?

Dear List,

Perhaps this has been discussed on the list before, but I just wanted
to ask for opinions on Thayer's Lexicon (which I find myself using more
often because of its handy size and weight relative to BAGD -- no, I
don't carry Thayer around with me in the Tokyo subway). I just can't
help but notice that no one seems to be using Thayer these days when
discussing word definitions. I'm sure many of the usual bleeding-edge
remarks could be made about Thayer ("outdated", etc.), but I'm just
wondering if Thayer should still be enough as a help in, say, "casual"
(!) reading of the GNT, or if there's any reason to avoid Thayer like
the plague (I can't help but remember vaguely someone making remarks to
that effect)...

Thanks,

Raymond Regalado
