i completely agree with Rodney. i learned with Goetchius' "language of the nt" and that was so terribly organized in my opinion. i think it's hard enough to learn as it is and separating them out can be a strength (depending upon your learning preference, etc.) as it helps the student compartmentalize stuff at first to get their bearings i would say that i didn't actually learn the language until going through mounce's grammar and i think he does an exceptional job.

for my learning style, i like to simplify things and put them into separate categories (i really like tables)--it helps me to get a grasp on one thing at a time. some may not like learning this way but IMHO it is a great approach for grammar which many can just get bogged down in all of the new terminology (since it seems that many have even forgotten, or had never even learned, english grammar from middle school).
