Certainly the accusative + infinitive cannot stand by itself as an
independent clause. On other hand an indicative clause introduced by hWSTE

MALLON EIS PROKOPHN TOU EUAGGELIOU ELHLUQEN, hWSTE TOUS DESMOUS MOU KTL.
However, a hWSTE + indicative clause can be used much as a GAR clause.
Here's an abbreviated version of the entry in BDAG:
hWSTE (Hom.+; B-D-F §391, 2; 3; Mayser II/1, 1926, 297ff)

2. introducing dependent clauses
a. of the actual result so that
A. foll. by the indic. ...
B. foll. by the acc. w. inf. ...
b. of the intended result, scarcely to be distinguished in mng. fr.
iºhINA (B-D-F §391, 3; Mlt. p. 207; 210; 249; Rdm.2 p. 197; Rob. 990) for
the purpose of, with a view to, in order that w. inf. foll. ...
