Dear list,

The word KLHRONOMIA means "inheritance" or "possession." Does anyone
know if its derivation involves a combination of roots like KLHROS,
"lot," and VOMOS, "law"? The idea would be the lot that one had by
law. For example, the first son received a double portion of the
inheritance by law at one point.
