I will leave the question of the sense of hUPOMONH to you heavy-hitters and
offer only an "aside": George's phrasing brought back to me my HS Math
teacher's recurrent utterance regarding attempts to rewrite Euclid's
geometry in some more modern idiom: "The new (text)books are not good, and
the good (text)books ae not new."
