2 Cor 5:3 reads EI GE KAI and has a variant there which reads EIPER KAI. EI
GE KAI is witnessed in Sinaiticus C K L & P. EIPER KAI is witnessed in P46
B D F G 33 & 1175 pc. I have encountered more than one discussion of this
text that notes the early reading of P46 for EIPER KAI, but opts for EI GE
KAI because it is in "the majority of MSS." This seems to be the assumption
in the GNT4's lack of noting the variant in its apparatus. Could someone
with more knowledge of textcrit than I have explain how the evidence for EI
GE KAI constitutes a majority?

thanks in advance,
Scott Wells
