[B-Greek] The expositors Greek testament

I think this (The Expositor's Bible) is different from the Expositor's Greek
Testament, which is indeed a five-volume set, although I'm pretty sure it
also dates from the late 19th century and is edited by Nicoll. I have found
it personally to be quite useful as a commentary based on the Greek text and
not on any English version (although it obviously refers to the Authorized
Version). Each book's commentary is written by an individual, although I'm
sure they would have all been edited by Nicoll. So you have to realize that
some of their interpretations may be biased in favor of one theological view
or another. But as long as you recognize your own theological biases, this
is not too big of a problem. I'm not sure how useful it would be in a
scholarly context (e.g., linguistics, literary elements, etc.), but from an
interpretive viewpoint (leading perhaps outside the bounds of this list), I
have found it to be very helpful when looking at alternate interpretations
of the genitive, uses of prepositions, whether something is subjunctive or
indicative, etc. It does use Latin some, and obviously quite a bit of Greek,
but I wouldn't say that you have to be proficient. I'm certainly not. You
would probably want to have some basic fundamentals under your belt in order
to understand most of it, but by no means would you need more than one year.
I really have no idea what Greek scholars think of it, but I hope this
helps.

G'day Jimmy
Ever heard of Google?
My first result was
http://www.davepohl.com/expositorsbible.html
which says that this was a monthly journal. Its author was born in 1851.
I hate it when these reprints don't tell you the date of the original
edition. Hope this helps
