I have long been aware of the sites John mentioned, and I appreciate the effort.

I do have Monospace and FreeMono, but they do not appear in IE's list of Plain text fonts.
I do have Everson Mono Unicode, but it is not freeware.
(Courier New does not include polytonic Greek after all.)

Have I missed some possibilities? Do *any* fonts (on these pages or elsewhere) meet the criteria: (1) Free, (2) appear in IE's list of Plain text fonts, and (3) include polytonic Greek. If so, I (and likely others) would like to know, but it would be nice if it could be verified that these criteria are met in any font. In the meantime, I will continue to use Firefox instead of IE.
