I have found an interlinear useful at this stage of my language learning,
especially as I try to master prepositions and pronouns. To be able to read
along and basically just read the verbs in English, I can read the rest of the
verses in Greek and notice when the preposition is followed by the genitive or
accusative, for example.

I also like to bring my Interlinear to church with me. When the pastor
starts whipping out word studies and talk of the Greek I like to have the Greek
handy as well as the English. Later on I can switch to a parallel
Greek/English, but for now the interlinear is best.

I see a time in the future when an interlinear might be a crutch, that will
need to be put away, but not yet.

I needed a baby bottle when I was a baby. Then one day my mother took it
away. It would have been wrong of her to never allow me to have had it. It would
be equally wrong for me to still be using it.
