Jeff Cockrell asked, "What is the hemeis referring to in Lk 19:46 -- the priests and scribes, the crowd?"

"...HRXATO EKBALLEIN TOUS PWLOUNTAS, LEGWN AUTOIS, GEGRAPTAI... hUMEIS DE..."

hUMEIS seems to refer to the same people as AUTOIS, which in turn refers to TOUS PWLOUNTAS, 'those selling', which, strictly speaking, I would have thought would not be either the priests and scribes or the crowd, although the parallel passages in Matthew and Mark add (a) those buying and (b) the money-changers, which would obviously broaden the group referred to.
