LSJ is a great lexicon, but sometimes you need a specialized lexicon (as
in studying the NT).  BDAG gives ??????? (K."YPf) -- "rock") as the
Aramaic for Cephas.  

In regard to Paul's writing to Greek-speaking congregations, you must
remember that, dispite Paul's words about preaching to the gentiles, many
in the early Christian congregations were either Jews or proselites or
"god-fearers."
