EPAGGELMA, n. EPAGGELIA, (derivatives of EPAGGELOMAI ‘to promise,’  
33.286) the content of what is promised — ‘promise.’ In the New  
Testament are synonyms, however, in Classical Greek EPAGGELMA could  
be used to refer to one's profession or calling, i.e., job.
