Start memorizing Bible verses in Greek. Pick the easy/basic ones that
you've probably already learned, e.g., John 3:16, Galatians 2:19b-20,
Romans 5:1, 8:1, 3:23, John 1:1. Do just one or two verse(s) a week so
as not to strain yourself.

Then, at some point, switch to a Modern Greek pronunciation. Sure, you'll
be all alone in a world of "Erasmian" speakers, but Modern Greek is quite
close to Koine pronunciation (with the exceptions perhaps of U and OI and
H - all pronounced as "ee" in Modern Greek, whereas in Koine times, U
and OI likely sounded like the French "u", and H was as it's pronounced in
Erasmian - i.e., "ey" as in "they"). Spiros Zodhiates' reading of the N-A 26
Greek NT using Modern Greek pronunciation (available on CD, about $100)
helps here, once you get past being TOTALLY LOST the first few weeks you
listen to it! And, you'll be able to go into any Greek Orthodox church and
be able to read aloud and follow right along the Liturgy of St. John
Chrysostom, and you'll have a cute "accent," too!
