To clarify/correct:

I meant to write:

> What were they to do? METANOHSATE KAI BAPTISQHTW hEKASTOS
> hUMWN

I do not want to give the impression that I think METANOHSATE should be
disconnected from EIS AFESIN TWN hAMARTIWN hUMWN, or that EIS
AFESIN TWN hAMARTIWN hUMWN only refers to BAPTISQHTW, but I did
wish to state that I believe BAPTISQHTW hEKASTOS hUMWN should not be
disconnected from EIS AFESIN TWN hAMARTIWN hUMWN, and also to agree
with Carl Conrad that EIS here most probably and perhaps most naturally
means "for" or "for the purpose of".
