Regarding this thread...
We know that the first Erasmus Greek text had Revelation only as a
translation of the Vulgate *back* into Greek by Desiderius himself [Gerhard Gerhards]...

Who knows when the *original* Greek Revelation was substituted for the
Erasmus translation of Revelation from the Vulgate into Greek?

I don't have my notes but I think Erasmus' first Greek text came out in an
all-fired hurry so he could beat the Spanish edition into publication. Maybe
1517? So that was the edition with the Vulgate-translated-Revelation. After that
Erasmus put out a new edition every few years. I don't remember reading when
or if he substituted a [original] Greek text for the Vulgate he translated back
into Greek.

[For your 'enjoyment,' I have, for many years, translated this as an idiom:
APO hO WN KAI hO HN KAI hO ERCOMENOS: "From the present, past, and future
One."]
