What I did was basically to reconstruct what BDAG says, adding some
information from the references he cites in favor of his interpretation
(and ignorning the references he does not cite in favor of his
interpretation). The reason I posted this here was to determine whether
it was true (as I said in the introduction). In another setting, I may
need to be able to represent both sides in a fair way, and I do not yet
have the information I need to do so. Some of that information may be in
your files or in that book.
So please, let's restrict this to the meaning of the Greek and evidence
for one or the other view. And let's avoid adjectives and follow B-Greek
policy especially carefully in this discussion.
