[B-Greek] Diagramming Greek Sentences

The only "text" I know of is Lee Kantenwein's treatment. I assume that at
one time, and maybe now, it is in paper form, but it is also an add-on in
the Logos system.

As to its value, I have found that taking the time to analyze the sentence
structure keeps me honest with the text. It reminds me that words mean
things, but so does their relation to other words.

I also use the Semantic Structural Analysis system formulated by SIL several
years back. It helps me focus on clausal, and even paragraph relationships.

Subject: [B-Greek] Diagramming Greek Sentences

Hello all:

I have a student looking for texts and/or courses that deal with the
issue of diagramming Greek sentences. His main goal appears to be the
ability to diagram the Greek structure sufficiently to aid in the proper
interpretation of a passage for preaching. Do any of you have texts or
seminary level courses you would recommend for a student with this
interest? On a related note, I would like your thoughts on the benefits
of diagramming sentences as well. Does this exercise help in
translation? In interpretation? I'll be honest, it has been so long
since I have diagrammed any sentence that I feel really inadequate in
this area. Feel free to contact me privately if such a discussion would
clog the list unnecessarily. Thanks in advance for your help!
