I think Carl answered your question. ESTE SESWSMENOI is a periphrastic 
construction equal to a perfect passive indicative. Just thought I 
would mention that you can get a good summary of the periphrastic 
constructions (finite verb [of EIMI, GINOMAI, hUPARCW] + participle = 
finite tense) in Wallace, pp. 647ff. He includes a helpful chart. I'll 
use EIMI here for illustrative purposes:

Present of EIMI + Present Participle = Present Finite Tense

Imperfect of EIMI + Present Participle = Imperfect Finite Tense

Future of EIMI + Present Participle = Future Finite Tense

Present of EIMI + Perfect Participle = Perfect Finite Tense

Imperfect of EIMI + Perfect Participle = Pluperfect Finite Tense
