This is something I have been looking at for some time and this novice can use some input. Eph 1:13,

EN W KAI UMEIS AKOUSANTES TWN LOGON THS ALHQEIAS TO EUAGGELIWN THS SOTHRIAS UMWN ENW KAI PISTEUSANTES. . .

Can the verbs of "to hear" and "to believe" allow this verse to connect or parallel with the same verbs in the following verse(be-it the grammer is slightly different):

Acts 15:7, ". . . W QEOS DIA TOU STWMATOS MOU AKOUSAI TA EQNH TOWN LOGON TOU EUAGGELIOU DAI PISTEUSAI . ."

  (1) Could some one who know only NT Greek make an easy comparison or cross reference of the two verses based on the grammer?? What about conceptually??

  (2) Could I be picking at straws here even though the verbs of "to Hear" and "believe" in Eph 1:13 are participles but in Acts 15:7 the same verbs are in the infinitive?? Are they just as easily compared to in the english as in the NT greek

  Thank-you b-greekers,
