Laila, I'm one of those eternal beginners. I never seem to make it to the
intermediate stage :-0 But I just keep plugging away at it. And year after year,
I come and ask my baby questions here. Most of the time someone answers them
:-)
I'm just starting chapter 9 in Machen. I finally managed to get through the
chapter on enclitics :-) There is a Machen Group at this list, that I'm a
part of, but I'm currently working faster than the group.

I like to supplement with a ton of different resources. People make fun of
my "Greek collection". I have a LOT of books and CDs :-) When I don't
understand something I like to read about 10 different explanations on it.
The author of "Ancient Greek Alive" recently sent me rough copies, of some
soon to be published supplements and I've been enjoying adding some
conversation dialogue to my studies.
Don Potter has some of Dr. Tyler's unique reading of the NT on his website.

recently contacted Dr. Tyler and he is allowing me to purchase the Gospels
from him, even though he hasn't finished the NT yet.
I've been spending a LOT of time with this software and these audios, to
work on high frequency vocabulary.

And you just gotta love Dobson's book that reminds me of the old Dick and
Jane reading primers.
I was involved in a study group using Dora Pozzi's curriculum, but I put it
aside for a bit until I get accents down and master a basic core vocabulary.
In a few months I want to really plough back through this, but want to be
able to accent my work, even though the curriculum doesn't teach accents till
later on in the curriculum. The author is a very committed teacher and allows
many self study students to send in their work, to be corrected by her, for
free.

The owner of this study group is polytheistic, so Christians need to be
aware of that, if they will find that offensive.

Anyway, I'm a beginner and that's what I am currently up to :-)
