[B-Greek] Beginners on B-Greek?

Laila,

I'm very much a beginner and have been working in John. Sometimes I get a
little frustrated at myself because of the level of discussion here. These
folks are smart! I also find myself struggling with the ASCII
transliteration (both ways). But I am learning, albeit slowly! I need a
Mentor.

I do have a question for the group. I read everywhere that we really don't
know how Hellenistic Greek (did I get that right?) was pronounced. How
then, or when and who, did the current suggested methods of pronunciation
come about?
