I am one of those! I have been at this for about 4 years now. I have made it through Machen, and most of the material on Nouns in Wallace. I am not sure I will ever get to the level where I can 'read' greek, but I really enjoy Bible study where I begin by using as much knowledge as I have to understand the Greek text. Just the process helps me turn the passage over and over in my mind, gaining insights and a better understanding.

I always remind myself that there is so much to know, I will probably never be advanced enough for independent translation and interpretation. However, I can evaluate the statements of commentators and writers, and at least understand why there are distinctions, when soneone is stretching the text, and when someone has downright ignored what is actually there. This is very valuable to me.

I also enjoy reading this list. There is a great deal of knowledge here and it is frequently helpful.
