Maybe your Greek friend was there at the time and observed this; I
don't see anything more implicit in this phrasing than that Tychicus
is headed toward Colossae for the express purpose of doing what Paul/
the author wants done. One can imagine any number of scenarios
consistent with what's being said here, but the author says no more
and no less than he deems needs saying.
