Dear B-Greek Group:

Mark 8:22-26 is the story of the Blind Man healed at
Bethsaida. After Jesus spits in his eyes and lays his
hands on him he asks the blind man "Do you see
anything?" This is the way (I think) all English
translations translate the verse, even as far back as
Wycliff’s translation. However, the Greek is as such
"EI TI BLEPEIS" Couldn’t this be translated
literally "YOU ARE WHAT SEEING?" - or more properly,
"What do you see?" Any comments would be helpful.

Sincerely,

Webber Young.
