It appears that the Farrer work on Luke is in the Cambridge Bible for Schools and Colleges. The Cambridge Greek Testament series volume on Luke is by H. K. Luce. I'm not sure what is intended by the addition that it is for schools and colleges. I might note that, if you go to Perseus and look up Smyth's Greek Grammar, you will find that it is also listed as "A Greek Grammar for Colleges."

Subject: [B-Greek] Commentaries: Cambridge Greek Testament: Luke

Ladies and Gentlemen:
I will be preparing some studies in Luke and as is my [new] custom, am
looking for commentaries that major on the greek text.
I have a question regarding the Cambridge Greek Testament. In this series
there is indeed a volume on Luke (F. W. Farrar) but it seems to be an
edition "For Schools and Colleges". Would anyone know how this differs from
editions not for schools and colleges (indeed if there are any)? Whenever I
see such a phrase I wonder whether I'm going to get diluted material (no
offence intended towards schools and colleges). I have not found Luke in the
CGT apart from this edition.

Would anyone know -- is the schools and colleges edition the pure product?
(I'd actually like the Exegetical Summary from SIL but don't think I'm rich
enough)

Yueltide Greetings to all, and I greatly appreciate the help this forum and
those who lead it have provided in '06.

Steve
