[B-Greek] Modern Greek versions

No, my Google didn't break, but thanks for caring. I'll keep an eye on it
just in case. ;)
Actually, I'm not wanting someone to Google this for me. I'm wondering if
anyone on the list already has familiarity with or knowledge about any
versions of the NT in Modern, everyday (Demotic) Greek. The version used by
the Greek Orthodox Church was compiled from manuscripts, so that's not what
I mean. Nor would a Katharevousa version be. I've seen some web sites on
this matter, but they're in Greek, not English, so they're difficult for me
to fully comprehend since I haven't studied Modern Greek yet.
The reason I became curious about this is that some of the protracted and
inconclusive discussions on this list about how certain things should be
understood have made me wonder how a native Greek speaker would translate
some of these things into Modern Greek. I don't know if that would provide
any useful insight or not. Language is so subtle, though, that I tend to be
really interested in what native speakers have to say.
If there are any such versions, I would also be interested in any basic
information people might have about their quality, translation approach,
etc., or links to appropriate web sites.
Thanks,
Eric Inman

Eric, did your Google break? :)
For the text still used by the Greek Orthodox Church:
http://kainh.homestead.com/
By Petros Petallides: "a complete electronic edition of the Original
Orthodox Greek New Testament as it is used by the Greek Orthodox Church".
These are MS Word documents for downloading onto your machine, as one zip
file or several zip files; and the SGreek font is required. The site has
both modern Greek and English portals.
One might call it "classic" Katharevousa!
There is also:
Greek New Testament W/Modern Greek Parallel (Greek Language Study Series)
(Hardcover)
by George A. Hadjiantoniou, James A. Gee
Which seems to be unavailable.
Here's a site with the entire Bible in Katharevousa:
http://www.htmlbible.com/sacrednamebiblecom/moderngreek/B43C001.htm
I couldn't find one with Demotike, though somewhere I have a Demotike NT.
I am sure there are people on this list with more references than I could
find in the few minutes it took me to google this.
