In Daniel 1:10 and 1:13 of the Old Greek LXX I am looking for the most
literal transmission of this word as possible.
Daniel 1:10 KAI THN POSIN UMIN INA MH IDH TA PROSWPA UMWN DIATETREAMMENA
KAI ASQENH PARA TOUS...
Daniel 1:13 KAI FANH H OYIS HMWN DIATETRAMMENH PARA TOUS ALLOUS....
I know that it comes from DIATREFW, and I have been suggested that
DIATETREAMMENA and DIATETRAMMENH should be translated as "downcast" and
"more drawn." I would truly appreciate some additional suggestions or
reenforcment of the other suggestions.
Thank you,
