Yes, audiotreasure Hebrew are excellent. The man's voice was a tad frail,
zixrono livraxa, he is no longer with us. It is a wonderful legacy.
Spiros' is a five-vowel, modern reading and slow enough to enjoy while
driving and focusing on things other than Greek. The five-vowel system
doesn't bother me. It's usually pretty clear what he's saying.
However, I personally advocate a seven-vowel system for those focusing on
GNT and first century. We have quite a few recordings here, but they will
not be ready for release until after this summer's first intensive SXOLH.
(It is amazing how much mileage the language got out of HTA, and OI/Y, along
with maintaining the correctly accented syllable. [Students simply must hear
the correctly accented syllable! the more I work with oral Greek, the more
important this becomes.] And we know that the first-century folk were able
to get along happily with a first-century system.)
