Dear John,

I'd say "a river of fire (was) flowing". See BDAG under hELKW, mng. 3,
referencing the Letter of Barnabas 11:10:

And there was a river flowing along on the right-hand side (HN POTAMOS
hELKWN EK DEXIWN)

Subject: [B-Greek] A good translation of hELKWN

In the Old Greek of Daniel 7:10, it reads POTAMOS PUROS hELKWN, KAI
EXEPOREUETO KATA PROSWPON AUTOU POTAMOS PUROS.

I am only interested in POTAMOS PUROS hELKWN and what would be the best
translation for hELKWN. Thank you!
