Luke 12:11 πλὴν τοῦτο γινώσκετε ὅτι ἤγγικεν ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ
Luke 12:11 PLHN TOUTO GINWSKETE hOTI HGGIKEN hH BASILEIA TOU QEOU

The footnote in my wonderful NET / NA27 tells me that the perfect
EGGIKEN + EPI means "has come" rather than "has come near" or "is at
hand". It refers me to BDAG EGGIZW sense 2, but I don't see enough there
to understand why it takes that sense.

The BDAG seems to indicate that "is at hand" might be right for other
Gospels, but "has come" is right for the Luke passages. Can someone
please enlighten me?

Jonathan
