[B-Greek] Matthew 16:18 - two questions

Dear Elizabeth, Harold, et al,

Considering the intended audience of Matthew, "Would they (including the
disciples at that time) have taken PULAI hADOU not as the Greeks would have
understood it, but from the Jewish view point of HADES = SHEOL? I am also
wondering what the DSS have to say on this issue?
