JOHN 15:16 OUC hUMEIS ME EXELEXASQE, ALL EGW EXELEXAMHN hUMAS KAI
EQHKA hUMAS hINA hUMEIS hUPAGHTE KAI KARPON FERHTE KAI hO KARPOS hUMWN
MENHi, hINA hO TI AN AITHSHTE TON PATERA EN TWi ONOMATI MOU DWi hUMIN.
Both the pronouns hUMEIS and EGW are fronted. OUC negates hUMEIS
(L.Morris:1971, p.676, n36), so we have a contrast OUC hUMEIS ... ALL
EGW. It seems to me that in the first part of v16 this contrast is the
main point being made, the agent of the verb EKLEGOMAI is the issue
here, only later with KAI EQHKA hUMAS + hINA clause is our attention
directed toward the consequences of EGW EXELEXAMHN hUMAS KAI EQHKA
hUMAS within the hINA clause.
This does not even address OUN's question about EK TOU KOSMOU.
