[B-Greek] 1COR. 11:23 APO TOU KURIOU

You always seem to read a bit more into the position of the elements in the structure of the sentence than I find convincing, but I wonder if Lightfoot would satisfy you on this.

12.οὐδὲ γὰρ ἐγώ] ‘For to go a step farther back, neitherdid I myselfreceive it from man.’ The force of the particle οὐδὲis best sought for in the context. Οὐδὲ ἐγὼ παρέλαβονanswers to τὸ εὐαγγελισθὲν ὑπʼ ἐμοῦ οὐκ ἔστιν, as παρὰ ἀνθρώπουanswers to κατὰ ἄνθρωπον. Others explain it ‘Ias little as the Twelve,’ ‘Iin whom perhaps it might have been expected’: but such interpretations are not reflected in the context.

Rob.- Plummer (1Cor ICC) argue that EGW is reqired here to 'ballance'
hUMIN,

That is a good point. However, I am not sure it totally eliminates my
notion of pragmatic marking. Keeping in mind Paul's preoccupation with
his authority and his direct encounter with the risen CRISTWi, I have
a difficult time discounting significance of EGW hanging out there on
the left margin. This amounts to a sort of probability argument.
