Cornell,

The color coded one is most likely the partial one on CCEL.org,
done by GF Somfsel who is very active on this list. It is only
partial and goes through §573 (p. 178).

http://www.ccel.org/s/smyth/grammar/html/toc.htm

(I've been asking him to complete it through at least through
the verb morphololgy section (p. 222) His presentation
is the best out there. Perhaps a talented programmer could take
his format and take Perseus' version and finish it.

The New Testament Gateway lists several other places to get
this resource: http://www.ntgateway.com/greek-ntgateway/grammars/

-----------
Herbert Weir Smyth’s Greek Grammar for Colleges
[Old Version]

A complete, on-line grammar available at the Perseus Site. This grammar is also available as a PDF from Textkit.

Hebert Weir Smyth’s Greek Grammar for Schools and Colleges

A more introductory grammar, also by Smyth (see above), from the Christian Classics Ethereal Library.

--------------

The other places I know are

University of Chicago version of Perseus:
http://artflx.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/philologic/navigate.pl?perseusmonographs.9

The Alphaios Project also has taken the Perseus Smyth and transformed it. It can be found as
part of a built in feature. One must go first to one of the Greek texts, and
then click on the "Grammar" button.

The Alphaios Project is kind of enigmatic, not saying who it is funded and
associated with. Some web programmers do not like their code implementation,
but it's a pretty cool tool.

Hope this helps,

Louis Sorenson

In case it's this:

A Greek Grammar for Colleges
?Author: Herbert Weir Smyth
?New York: American Book Company, 1920
?xvi, 784 pages

Logos is creating a set called "Biblical Languages: Reference Grammars and
Introductions (19 Vols.)" which includes this volume. I don't know if it
will be available individually or not. Info is here:
http://www.logos.com/products/prepub/details/4678.
I also have no idea if the set is worth the price.

I ran across a Smyth Greek Grammar that was an 'online' version.
It was color coded and very easy to read. Does anyone know if
such a color coded, easy to read Smyth Greek Grammar can be
downloaded for personal study? I have downloaded a version of Smyth
that appears to be his book just scanned into a file,
but I'm looking for something much easier to read and interact with.

 Sincerely,

C. Q. Machiavelli
