[B-Greek] Question on 2 Thess 3:1 (TO LOIPON)

Hi all
    I am studying syntax and really never looked at  adverbs that much. Even 
in my course we are not dealing with them. I am  translating 2 Thess. as a 
project and the first 2 words of 3:1 are TO LOIPON  translated as finally, or 
more literally "for the rest" It's the first adverb  I've seen with an article. I 
guess it's looking or displayed  like an  adjective, functioning as an 
adverb, but I never saw that either. 
Any thoughts would be appreciated. Does this type of thing happen often,  
that is, if it's an adverb?
