[B-Greek] BMCR 2009.07.47 - new book on modal verbs of obligation

Some list-members may find interesting a review of a new book on modal
verbs of obligation: Emilia Ruiz Yamuza, Tres verbos que significan
"deber" en griego antiguo. The book is a diachronic (Mycenaean through
2d c. CE) study of ὀφείλω, δέω and χρή [OFEILW, DEW and
CRH} (unfortunately the φ of ὀφείλω is mistyped as πη
so as to produce the gibberish ὀπηεύκω). The book is in Spanish
and the review is by a Brazilian scholar, but fortunately (for me, at
least) i is in English rather than Portuguese. It is reassuriing to
learn in the second sentence of the review that the author "[works]
within the framework of Functional and Cognitive Grammar, but never
[gives] in to the temptation of obscure jargon." I won't attempt to
summarize what the review tells us of the argument, since it can be
