Perhaps this should be seen as a spoof upon (1) the practice of  
coining new terms to describe syntactic constructions (especially of  
the genitive case), and upon (2) jargon used by linguists to account  
for what particular morphological forms do, to wit, "grammaticalize."  
Whether this has anything to do with the question about SYN and SYN- 
TAX is likely to tax the synergies of the most synergetic list-members.
