HH: It could relate to those facts. The word PETRA is frequently used of
cliffs or ledges, according to LSJ and what I've been taught. The word
PETROS is used of a stone or a boulder. So the confession could be the
foundation of the church:

ESV Matthew 16:18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will
build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

HH: And Peter could be one of the stones in the church structure, as
Peter said:

CSB 1 Peter 2:5 you yourselves, as living stones, are being built into a
spiritual house for a holy priesthood to offer spiritual sacrifices
acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

Yours,
Harold Holmyard
