That's pretty much what I was thinking. In the Bibletranslation group (I think
that was the name of it) translations were sometimes referred to as "biblish."
It reminds me of the jokes that Red Foxworthy told / tells.
If you speak of "brethren" (you might get by with "brothers"), you might be
speaking biblish.
If you use "disciple" as a verb, you might be speaking biblish.

The only problem being that "disciple" is not a verb in English. This is the
sort of
translation made by translators who want to create the target language anew in
the image of the source language.
