George,

No, suprisingly, the reference is definitely to TINAS. Polish is my motehr tongue, so I think I understand it quite well (much better than English:)
About PANTWS he writes something else (that it means all ways, all means) and he omits the word in his translation.

ἐγενόμην τοῖς ἀσθενέσιν ἀσθενής, ἵνα τοὺς ἀσθενεῖς κερδήσω· τοῖς πᾶσιν γέγονα πάντα, ἵνα πάντως τινὰς σώσω.

EGENOMHN TOIS ASQENESIN ASQENHS, hINA TOUS ASQENEIS KERDHSW; TOIS PASIN GEGONA PANTA hINA PANTWS TINAS SWSW.

The word πάντως PANTWS (to which I presume reference is made) is not a noun or an adjective, but an adverb and would thus better be understood as qualifying the verb σώσω SWSW. Note BDAG's entry s.v. πάντως PANTWS:

④ expression of lowest possible estimate on a scale of extent, at least ἵνα πάντως τινὰς σώσω in order to save at least some 1 Cor 9:22 (though by [any and] all means is also prob. here).

  Dear List-members,

I've just been surprised by a commentary on the text.
One of the Polish scholars tranlates
  hINA PANTWS TINAS SWSW
  as "to save all".
He explains that TINAS means sort of "each and everyone".
I looked up TIS in lexicons but couldn't see such a meaning.

  Is he right?
